具体的な活動や体験を通じ、身近な生活に関わる見方・考え方を生かして自立し生活を豊かにする資質・能力を次の3つの柱で育成する。
①活動を通じて自分・人々・社会・自然の特徴やよさ、関わりに気付き、生活に必要な習慣や技能を身に付ける。
②周囲を自分との関わりで捉え、自分自身や生活について考えて表現する力を育む。
③周囲に自ら働きかけ、意欲や自信をもって学び、生活を豊かにする態度を養う。

Life Science at Felice International School is designed and planned to discover the students’ self-growth, family life and the world they live in. This subject provides opportunities for curiosity and creativity while learning the English language. Through hands-on activities, play, interaction, field trips and classroom discussions, the students enjoy learning more about themselves and their role in the society. It also encourages and challenges students to think-critically and beyond their imagination, to work harmoniously with others and to be confident and resilient learners. Learning Life Science is beyond learning vocabulary words and phrases in English. It is instructed to transform students to be active and reflective learners while enjoying the class.

フェリーチェ玉村国際小学校のLife Science(生活)の授業は、児童が自己の成長を見つめ、家庭生活や自分たちの住む世界への理解を深められるように構成されています。教科学習を通して、英語を学びながら児童の好奇心を高め、創造力を伸ばします。実践的な活動やあそび、交流、校外学習、クラスディスカッションなどを通じて、自分自身のことや社会における自身の役割について楽しく学ぶことができます。また、批判的かつ想像を超えた思考を児童に促すことにより、学習者の自信、協調性、柔軟性を高めます。生活科での学びは、英語の語いやフレーズの学習にとどまりません。学びを楽しみながら、積極的で高い思考力をもつ学習者へと児童を導く内容となっています。
Life Science at Felice International School inspires curiosity, responsibility, and respect for nature, oneself, and the community through meaningful, hands-on learning. In Grade 2, students explore the world of plants by identifying their basic needs, planting seeds, observing growth, and recording changes throughout the plant life cycle. These activities develop observation skills, patience, responsibility, and an appreciation for the effort required to grow healthy plants.
Students also experience the excitement of harvesting the vegetables they have grown. This helps them understand where food comes from while encouraging gratitude, generosity, and a sense of community through sharing their harvest with others.
The curriculum promotes healthy self-care habits and introduces the important roles of community members, including families, teachers, healthcare workers, and farmers. Through discussions, projects, and real-life experiences, students learn the value of kindness, respect, and contributing positively to society.
English is integrated into every lesson as students communicate observations, participate in discussions, present their learning, and build vocabulary. Collaborative projects, presentations, and field trips strengthen communication, teamwork, and confidence.
By connecting classroom learning with real-world experiences, Grade 2 Life Science develops scientific curiosity, environmental awareness, and the knowledge, skills, and values students need to become responsible and compassionate global citizens.

フェリーチェ玉村国際小学校の生活科の授業では、有意義で実践的な学習を通じて、好奇心、責任感、そして自然や自分自身、地域社会への敬意を育みます。2年生では、植物の基本的な必要条件を把握し、種を植え、成長を観察し、植物のライフサイクル全体にわたる変化を記録することで、植物の世界を探求します。これらの活動を通じて、観察力、忍耐力、責任感が養われ、健康な植物を育てるために必要な努力への理解が深まります。
また、児童たちは自分たちで育てた野菜を収穫する喜びも体験します。これにより、食べ物がどこから来るのかを理解すると同時に、収穫物を他の人と分かち合うことで、感謝の心、寛大さ、そして共同体意識が育まれます。
カリキュラムでは、健康的なセルフケアの習慣を促進するとともに、家族、教師、医療従事者、農家など、地域社会の構成員が果たす重要な役割について学びます。ディスカッション、プロジェクト、実生活での体験を通じて、児童たちは優しさや敬意の大切さ、そして社会に積極的に貢献することの価値を学びます。
児童たちは、観察結果を伝え、ディスカッションに参加し、学んだことを発表し、語彙力を伸ばす中で、すべての授業に英語が組み込まれています。共同プロジェクト、プレゼンテーション、校外学習を通じて、コミュニケーション能力、チームワーク、自信が養われます。
教室での学習と実社会での体験を結びつけることで、2年生の生命科学の授業は、科学的探究心、環境への意識、そして生徒が将来必要とする知識、スキル、価値観を育みます。
